In Maine winters last and last. There is no getting around it. And don't get me wrong, there is beauty and fun and wonder aplenty in the winter. But it's cold. And there is a frozen barrier between my bare feet and the earth. I am reminded that winter is coming on this first day of autumn...but in addition to my winter preparations I am set on relishing in the last days of sun and warmth. Taking some time to dig in the dirt and sand before it is frozen. To walk barefoot outside before snow falls and stings my feet into woolen submission. Enjoying the present and working outside on my jewelry as much as possible.
Personally I have gathered some gorgeous stones and leathers and metals to keep me working and creative for the cold months. So many ideas and beautiful ingredients are definitely keeping me optimistic about winter. Honey Tribe will be full to the brim of the fruit of the inspiration I've canned. So please check back often!
